Hagia Pastor was born in the southern Russian city of Sochi. At the early age of six, she began playing the piano, supported by her mother, herself a pianist and music teacher. The great talent of Hagia Pastor flashed quickly. Already at the age of eight she won her first competition and at the age of twelve, Hagia Pastor had given her first concert with the Symphony Orchestra Rostov, with which she interpreted Mozart’s Piano Concerto A major KV 488. In her further career as a pianist, she made a name for herself as a great interpreter of works by the Polish composer Frédéric Chopin. “The music of romanticism, the pathetic and dramatic, fascinated me,” says Pastor. Her first studies were at the Sochi School of Music where she graduated in classical music and jazz. Four years later, Hagia Pastor was radmited at the Moscow Academy of Music, where the pianist continued to work in classical music for five years in the fields of solo, chamber music and accompaniment. After that, the versatile musician did not leave the piano. Hagia Pastor enjoyed harpsichord and organ teaching; today she plays too violin and cornett. Around the turn of the century she changed to the Musikhochschule in Cologne, where Hagia Pastor expanded her solo and chamber music repertoire. Her third stage of studies led her to the University Mozarteum in Salzburg in 2003. After the graduation in 2005 and 2006 in the subjects piano solo and piano chamber music she received three years later the doctorate in music sciences from the University of Vienna. At the same time, she spent a year at the Zurich University of the Arts. Later, she continued her studies as a conductor at the Fachhochschule der Künste in Berne. Hagia Pastor completed all her studies with the highest distinction. Today she can look back on many years as a musician, either as a conductor, or as a concert pianist. Several years ago Hagia Pastor took over the leadership of her first Swiss orchestra. Today she conducts the orchestras of Eich and Rain (Lucerne).
